Review: Teddie Organics Rose Water Facial Toner
Teddie Organics Rose Water Facial Toner is a pure, 100% organic rose water toner spray that keeps skin balanced and refreshed without irritating chemicals or artificial ingredients. Teddie Organics does not test any of its products on animals. Oh, and did I mention it’s affordably priced? If you’re looking for a cruelty-free, vegan, non-toxic, and extremely versatile toner to help keep your skin in peak condition this summer, read on for the details!
What it Does
This single-ingredient, spray-on toner is surprisingly versatile. When used as a traditional toner on freshly-cleansed skin, it provides gentle moisture, restores balance, controls oil, and soothes after-shower skin tightness. Skin feels better prepared to receive the next step in your beauty routine. The spray can be used throughout the day as a refreshing pick-me-up, and thanks to rose water’s natural anti-inflammatory properties, it can help soothe redness and skin irritation. The product can be sprayed onto the hair and scalp to soften and moisturize (with no trace of gunky residue) or added to the bath or pillow at night for a relaxing aromatherapy effect.
How to Use
With eyes closed, mist directly onto face and neck or spray into clean hands and gently apply to the skin. If using for oil control, you could also spray onto a natural cotton pad and gently swipe across the face and neck. I use the product daily on my clean face immediately after I get out of the shower in the morning and after removing my makeup and cleansing my face at night.
I also spray onto wet hair before drying to help smooth, tame, and soften without weighing hair down. I know that sounds weird (you spray toner in your hair?), but remember, this toner is pure rose water – not the drying, astringent toner most of us used as teens. I originally experimented using the rose water spray in my hair out of pure curiosity. I used it in place of my normal hair styling products, on wet hair as a pre-blowdry treatment, and on dry locks to smooth and tame flyaways. I could not believe how impressed I was with the results. Goodbye, heavy chemical-filled hair serums. Your services are no longer required.
100% pure and organic rose water. No chemicals, preservatives, or artificial fragrances. Vegan.
Animal Testing Policy
Teddie Organics products are cruelty-free, not tested on animals. I reached out to Teddie Organics via their Facebook page in December of 2016 to get more information about their animal testing policy and received the below response.
Light, pleasant, natural rose fragrance. Never artificial or overpowering.
The rose fragrance does lose a little of its potency over the life of the bottle, but this has not affected the performance of the product otherwise. I do not see this as a deterrent unless you are interested in this product specifically for use as a fragrance alternative/aromatherapy spray.
Price, Availability, and Packaging
Available on Amazon.com (Prime eligible) in 4 oz. ($17.49) and 2 oz. ($10.88) bottles.
This product lasts a long time; I am still on my first 4 oz. bottle after several months of daily use. The 2 oz. bottle is the perfect size to carry in your bag for on-the-go use. The bottles are made of sturdy glass (I’ve dropped mine onto my counter several times), and the plastic applicator sprays a fine, even mist without clogging. The clean, simple packaging is attractive enough to keep out on my bathroom counter alongside my other go-to beauty products.
Despite having combination skin that is oily in some places and extremely dry in others, I could never commit to using a toner consistently; they either felt too astringent or too ineffective. Teddie Organics Rose Water Toner turned me into a toner loyalist. I love the simplicity of this single-ingredient product. Knowing it’s pure makes me comfortable using it liberally. This little spray is quite the skin-care multitasker and a new staple in my daily routine. Will definitely purchase again.
